About Me
I didn’t always know I wanted to be an astronomer. In fact, until about the age of 12 I was convinced I was going to be a dentist! By my sophomore year of college, though, with the help of several invaluable mentors that I still rely on today, I decided to switch my major to physics and see where this astronomy thing could take me. All around the world, it turns out!
I am currently in my second year as a NASA Hubble Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
From Seattle with love…
Although I haven’t lived there long-term since I was 18, Seattle will always be my hometown. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest I learned early to enjoy a nice romp out in nature, that a little rain never hurt nobody, and that Starbucks
